Union Bank of India was
registered on 11 November 1919 and was nationalised in 1969. Inaugurated
by Mahatma Gandhi, the Bank has 240 branches in India. UBI began its
international expansion in 2007 with the opening of representative
offices in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and Shanghai, Peoples
Republic of China etc. It invites application from eligible candidates
for recruitment to the 168 specialist officer post mentioned below.
Name of the Post for recruitment of Specialist Officer in Union Bank of India
Educational Qualification: Candidate must have a degree in relevant discipline from a recognised university and specialization in the concerned field.
Essential Qualification: Candidates applying for the post from 7 to 12 must possess a valid IBPS Score Card of Common Written Examination.
Age Limit (as on 1 December 2011): Maximum 35 years (Maximum 43 years for Assistant General Manager (IT); Maximum 40 years for Credit Officer MMGS III)
Selection Procedure for recruitment of Specialist Officer in Union Bank of India: Candidates applying for the post of Assistant General Manager (IT) will be selected through a Psychometric test &/or Group Discussion & / or Personal Interview.
For the posts from 7 to 12: Depending upon the number of candidates only those candidates who have secured the minimum qualifying marks under Common Written Examination (CWE) conducted by IBPS for Specialist Officer and rank sufficiently high in the order of merit shall be called for a Psychometric test &/or Group Discussion & / or Personal Interview.
For the posts from 2 to 6 and 11: Candidates will be selected through a Written Exam &/ or Psychometric test &/ or Group Discussion &/ or Personal Interview.
The final selection would be on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination and Interview and strictly in the order of Merit.

Candidates are required to apply online only through website http://www.unionbankofindia.co.in/abt_recruitmentaspx.aspx
Application Fee: Application Fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs 100 and only intimation charge of Rs 20 will be charged from SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.
The challan for payment of fees (in duplicate) will be made available on the Bank’s website. The application fee must be paid in cash, separately for each post at any branch of Union Bank of India using this challan.

Obtain the Applicant’s Counterfoil Copy of the Application Fee Payment Challan duly receipted by the Bank with (a) Branch Name, (b) Branch SOL ID, (c) 7 to 10 Digit TRANS ID, and (4) Date of Deposit filled in by the Branch Official.
After applying Online, candidates should take two (2) Print-Outs of the duly filled in Computerised System Generated Application Form. The original receipt should be retained and produced at the time of Interview.
